Our best-loved soap stars headed to Salford's Lowry Theatre for the annual British Soap Awards on Saturday.

The public has been voting to decide which of their favourites from the soaps Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks should win a gong.

The stars are dressed to impress as they arrive to find out who the awards will go to.

Corrie's Cath Tyldesley looked stunning as she walked down the red carpet wearing a powder pink, fishtail, backless gown accessorised with a matching clutch bag and drop earrings.

Best Female Dramatic Performance nominee Kym Marsh opted for a fitted navy dress with a revealing split. Kym is nominated for her portrayal of grief-stricken Michelle after the tragic loss of her baby Ruairi in Coronation Street.

Corrie's Katie McGlynn decided against a traditional long evening gown, instead opting for a pastel pink mini dress and strappy stilettos.

Hollyoaks actress Nadine Mulkerrin looked worlds apart from her troubled character Cleo McQueen as she turned up wearing a nude, floral, sheer gown. Nadine is up against Corrie's Kym for the Best Female Dramatic Performance gong.
