Downton Abbey newcomer MyAnna Buring has revealed she can't wait to watch the show's festive special with her mum. The actress, fresh from appearing in the Twilight films, makes her debut as new housemaid Edna in the ITV1 show, which airs on Christmas Day. "I did Miss Marple and Downton this year and (mum)'s been thrilled because I've been in something she cares to watch," the 28-year-old said. It doesn't take Edna long to set her sights on the estate's land agent, former chauffeur Tom Branson (Allen Leech), who's stayed behind at Downton with young daughter Sybil. MyAnna explained: "Branson gives her hope. It shows people a way beyond the station they're born into." Meanwhile, elsewhere downstairs Ed Speelers - who plays dashing footman Jimmy Kent - revealed: "Jimmy's trying to lead [fellow footman] Alfred into all sorts of trouble."
