Cat Deeley to play a psychic in supernatural US comedy

Cat Deeley has landed a role in a new supernatural comedy series Deadbeat.

The So You Think You Can Dance US presenter has been signed up to co-star on the new Hulu comedy about a medium helping New York's ghosts settle unfinished business, according to The Wrap.

Playing the medium is Taylor Labine, while Cat will star as rival medium Camomile White, a beautiful psychic who has channelled her talents into a business empire.

Deadbeat is being made for Brad Pitt's production company Plan B, is being written by Wilfred executive producers Brett Konner and Cody Heller, and will be directed by Arrested Development's executive producer Troy Miller.

Since moving to the US, Cat has appeared on The Exes, the Disney Channel's Shake It Up, and also had a role in Life's Too Short.

Deadbeat has had a straight-to-series order for 10 episodes and is currently in production in New York.
