Couch Potato's Tuesday Trivia: Austin Powers and the pinky finger

In the spoof espionage thriller Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Mike Myers stars as swinging superspy Austin powers who has to foil the fiendish plots of his rival Dr Evil and his diminutive sidekick - dwarf clone Mini-Me.

In addition to his bald head, facial scar and pouty lips, Dr Evil's signature gesture is of course the extended little finger, which he often places near to the corner of his mouth.

So it's rather amusing to note that the name of the muscle which extends the pinky finger is actually known as the Extensor Digiti Minimi!

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me is showing tonight - Tuesday 23rd October - on G.O.L.D. at 9pm.
