Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams is one of a number of celebrities billed to host ITV's new chat show The Nightly Show.

Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams has made a huge entrance in the trailer for ITV's new chat show The Nightly Show.

David has been billed as the first celebrity to sit in the driving seat of the new show, which will feature a line-up of TV personalities hosting the show.

The trailer shows David arriving on set with a number of bizarre props including a mini cactus, a fluffy pen, a 100m swimming certificate, porcelain cats and dogs, a 'mummy's boy' mug and a sculpture of himself.

A butler in the buff then arrives on roller skates brandishing a chilled bottle of bubbly.

David then turns to an overwhelmed runner and asks: "Too much?"

The series will air over five nights a week for an eight week run, featuring a different big name host each week on a rotating basis.

Former Corrie star Bradley Walsh is also rumoured to join the line-up of stars presenting the show, as well as TV chef Gordon Ramsey, comedian John Bishop and former Bake Off hosts Mel and Sue.

The show will air at at 10pm, pushing News at Ten back to 10.30pm.

The Nightly Show starts on Monday 27th February on ITV1.
