A 27-year-old contestant, Vicki Heenan, will be pictured winning £250,000 pounds on the final run of the Channel 4 show in December

Channel 4 show Deal or No Deal will celebrate its ninth jackpot winner this December.

The game show's viewers will watch Scottish guide dog care assistant Vikki Heenan, battle her way through the show to take the jackpot prize on the game show this Christmas.

Vikki, who also raises money for the guide dog charity she works for said: “I felt the banker might deem me an easy target, but I was determined to prove him wrong. I hoped to win enough to redecorate my home, finish the garden and buy a wood-burning stove. Winning the jackpot is more than I could have ever imagined and I’m over the moon. I may even get a field and my own highland cow!”

Deal Or No Deal, which has been airing since 2005, and is presented by Noel Edmonds, shows contestants opening a series of boxes, which are filled with different amounts of money.

Earlier this year Channel 4 announced that Deal Or No Deal, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last September, will stop being produced, with this special one-off tour being the show’s farewell tour.

The farewell tour will be hosted in some of Britain’s most iconic locations and they’ll even air one show inside a Boeing 737 - a first on British television.

Before Vikki there were eight other jackpot winners including the shows first quarter-millionaire Laura, two years after the game show started in 2007. Pensioner Ann was the show's last jackpot winner in 2015.

Over the years the show has had some famous faces on the show, including singer Olly Murs and the X Factor’s Louis Walsh – who even won £70,000 on the show.

Deal Or No Deal’s farewell tour will visit the Blackpool Tower, the Flying Scotsman, the Eden Project, Wookey Hole caves, Longleat House, Kelvingrove and Warwick Castle, as well as London’s Alexandra Palace and the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

Deal or No Deal's farewell tour will screen on Channel 4 throughout December.
