Death in Paradise star Danny John-Jules: ‘We’re three old Inbetweeners on bikes!’

Death in Paradise star Danny John-Jules has teamed up with two pals for a 1,250-mile motorcycle ride from the UK to Valencia for biker charity Riders for Health.

Danny, TV sports presenter Matt Roberts and motorcycle entrepreneur Steve Keys all get a bit saddle sore for a very good cause – to raise awareness for Riders for Health, a charity which uses motorbikes to ensure vital healthcare reaches rural communities in Africa.

“The trip was tough and really tested our mettle, but ultimately it was fun,” reveals Danny John-Jules, also well known for cult BBC comedy Red Dwarf. "It’s a bunch of mates on the same level having a laugh. Tune in if you want to watch three old ‘Inbetweeners’ on bikes!”

Steve added: “We’ve created the ultimate motorcycle trip. But it’s not just about the journey, viewers also get a look behind the scenes at the prep, the laughs and the setbacks."

Dressed head-to-toe in pink and travelling on pink bikes, the trio’s adventures are billed as a ‘travelogue for a difference’.

Viewers can watch their escapades in The Easy Riders – The Ultimate Bike Ride on the Community Channel on March 19 on Sky 539, Virgin 233, Freeview 63, Freesat 651, BT Vision, BBC iPlayer and online at www.communitychannel.org at 10.30pm.

The Easy Riders comes to Community Channel as part of Do Something Brilliant, their flagship campaign funded by Big Lottery Fund which encourages people to do #somethingbrilliant and participate in little acts that make a big difference to those around them.
