While many stars have come under fire for their huge salaries, Noel Edmonds has revealed he does not claim a fee for his Sky 1 show Noel's HQ. During an item broadcast over the weekend, the TV star said he was not paid 'a penny' for the show, which campaigns on behalf of the public. Noel's spokesman confirmed that the presenter was not being paid to front the show and the money has been used to set up a charitable trust. Noel, who also hosts Deal Or No Deal for Channel 4, revealed he did not take a salary during a highly-charged item about Royal Marine Joe Townsend, a seriously injured soldier who has been battling with his local council over plans to build a specially-adapted bungalow. An emotional Edmonds said: "I created this show. I do not get paid a penny to do this show. I decided: no fee. I wanted to put my heart and soul into it."
