First Look: Kate Moss cameos in David Walliams' Boxing Day drama

Kate Moss makes a young boy’s dreams come true as he joins her at a glossy fashion shoot in an upcoming Christmas drama.

In the first images from her appearance in the BBC One adaptation of David Walliams’s book The Boy In The Dress, the supermodel is seen in haute couture with her admiring young co-star Billy Kennedy.

In the film, to be screened on Boxing Day, catwalk queen Kate appears as herself in a fantasy scene, after David asked her to get involved.

She previously appeared with the comic and writer last year in a sketch for Comic Relief, although he was not on set when she shot her role in the new film, which tells the story of Dennis (played by 13-year-old Billy) who becomes enthralled by the world of fashion to escape his drab life.

In the film she wears a floor-length dress loaned by Vivienne Westwood, with diamonds and shoes from David Morris and Manolo Blahnik.

A programme insider said: “Kate Moss was on amazing form on the day of filming, she came in with her agent and was just a dream to work with, she literally charmed everyone, especially our little star Billy Kennedy. It was a total coup to have her involved, thanks to her friend David Walliams putting in the ask.

“The whole thing took four and a half hours to film and we would love to have her back on BBC TV screens soon, we hope she wouldn’t rule out another BBC appearance.”

David has said of her appearance: “The Boy In The Dress has an all star cast, but Kate Moss really is the icing on the cake.”
