Happy Together, a new US sitcom produced by former One Direction singer Harry Styles, will be shown on E4. Ex-Neighbours star Felix Mallard is in it!

After making his acting debut in the 2017 war drama Dunkirk, singer Harry Styles has stepped behind the camera as one of the Executive Producers of new US comedy, Happy Together. It will be shown on E4 in the UK.

As previously announced, Damon Wayans Jr and Amber Stevens West star as couple Jake and Claire, whose lives are turned upside down when a popstar Cooper James (played by ex-Neighbours star Felix Mallard) moves in.

The series is reportedly loosely based on the time when pop star Harry lived with his filmmaker and producer friend Ben Winston's at the height of his former band One Direction's fame. But there's no word yet on whether Harry will appear in the series himself.

In an interview with The Knockturnal, Felix, who played Karl and Susan Kennedy's grandson Ben Kirk in Neighbours, reveals Harry gave him a call when he landed the role:

"It was crazy. I wasn’t really ready for it, but Harry's endlessly charming," reveals Felix. "He’s been on tour for most of the time that we’ve been shooting. But he came on set after his world tour ended.  It was really quick because he had somewhere else to fly to. It was nice, but it was bizarre because he’s one of the most famous people on the planet!"

As well as Happy Together, E4 have also announced they've snapped up the rights to show the new version of supernatural series, Charmed. Plus some past classic comedy including Cheers and Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

Look out for Happy Together coming soon to E4
