John Cleese cuts Piers Morgan down to size on Twitter

Yesterday, comedy legend John Cleese got into a heated exchange with Piers Morgan on Twitter.

It happened after the Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star responded to an article Morgan had written for Mail Online, saying how the pair did not acknowledge each other in a New York restaurant.

Here’s what happened…

Piers Morgan writes that I didn't recognise him in a restaurant in New York.I did.I just didn't want to speak to someone I truly detest

No, @JohnCleese, I said you DID recognise me & the revulsion was mutual. Here's the column: http://t.co/72orbo7vno https://t.co/gj4ieSzvNk
