Kim Cattrall returns to London stage to play 'Linda'

Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall is returning to the stage to play a high-powered businesswoman who appears to have it all.

The actress will play the title character in Linda at the Royal Court Theatre in central London.

Kim, who played Samantha in the hit US show, is no stranger to the stage having starred in Tennessee Williams’ Sweet Bird Of Youth in the West End in 2013.

The play, written by The Village Bike’s Penelope Skinner, is the story of an award-winning career woman whose seemingly perfect life starts to crumble around her.

It marks a return to the Royal Court for Ms Skinner who had a hit there with The Village Bike, which starred Romola Garai as an expectant mother struggling in a sex-less marriage.

The theatre also announced details of several new shows including Hangmen by In Bruges writer Martin McDonagh.

The play is set in an Oldham pub, run by one of the country’s last executioners, on the day the death penalty was abolished, and stars Ralph Ineson, David Morrissey and Reece Shearsmith.
