Martin will appear in episode six of the hugely popular ITV series. Meanwhile, French actor Bruno Wolkowitch (Spin) will guest star in episode five as French King Louis Philippe, who Victoria visits on her first outing to France.

The latest episode of the series, shown on Sunday night, saw Victoria and Albert head to a lavish medieval ball.

Former Star Wars and New Tricks actor Denis Lawson also appears in the series, popping up in episode seven as the Duke of Atholl, who welcomes Victoria and Prince Albert to the Highlands.

The scenes were filmed at historic landmark Blair Castle, Perthshire. Victoria continues on Sundays at 9pm on ITV.
