We’re used to seeing Matt Lucas in all manner of flamboyant costumes in Little Britain, but the comedian has pulled out all the stops for his sinister role in new Netflix thriller Polar, released on Friday 25th January.
The visually stunning – and ultra-violent – film stars Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen as ruthless assassin Black Kaiser who finds himself the target when his former boss, played by Matt, sends a group of young assassins to take him out.
It’s obviously a role that Matt thoroughly enjoyed filming, recently tweeting: "Though I say so myself, I am one badass in this movie." He certainly does look like a proper baddie!
Matt is also seen having a lot of fun in the thrilling trailer released for Polar, which sees Mads Mikkelsen's character Black Kaiser reluctantly having to come out of retirement.
Matt certainly looks very different from his days on Shooting Stars and Little Britain. He also of course played Nardole in Doctor Who, a character last seen in 2017.
Meanwhile, Danish actor Mads is best known for his roles in Hannibal and playing James Bond villain Le Chiffre opposite Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.
