Matt Terry took ‘first place’ on last night’s X Factor says Sharon Osbourne
It was Movie Week on The X Factor and the six remaining acts took on big numbers from such films as Titanic and Pretty Woman and tried to make them their own
The X Factor was all about big songs from big movies last night, except for Honey G, who sang “It’s Like That” from Keith Lemon: The Film. She did mix it with “Getting Jiggy With It” from Last Days of Disco, though.
Will Honey G have to sing again in tonight’s results show? Not if the viewing public feel the same way about her as Simon Cowell does…
“I love you,” he told her.
What Honey G would love, it seems, is a dance-off with Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ed Balls after his little dig at her earlier in the week. When asked by the Daily Star about the rapper, Ed said “at least I’m getting better”.
“He can challenge me any day,” Honey G said. “He knows where I am.”
Back to the serious business of this contest…

Matt Terry took on “Writing’s on The Wall” from the Bond film Spectre and got a standing ovation from the judges.
“After two not-so-good week, you are back in the race,” Louis Walsh told matt.
“Wow! You’ve just taken first place,” Sharon Osbourne said.
And mentor Nicole Scherzinger was crying with joy.
“This is what we’ve been waiting for,” Simon smiled. “To use Nicole’s favourite expression…that took balls.”
Ryan Lawrie didn’t excite the judges, though, when he opened the show with his version of “Jailhouse Rock”.
“There’s one problem,” Louis told Ryan. “Matt will always be better than you.”
Ouch!
5 After Midnight took on “Try A Little Tenderness” from the film The Commitments and tried to give it a more 21st century feel.
“But it wasn’t as good as last week,” Simon told them.
Saara Aalto’s performance of the Titanic’s “My Heart Will Go On” gave her mentor Sharon “goosebumps”.
Emily Middlemass was the lady in red as she sat cross-legged on the stage to sing an even slower version of “It Must Have Been Love” from Pretty Woman.
“That was beautiful,” Louis told Emily. “It was haunting.”
“You look like nobody else and sound like nobody else,” added Sharon.
“I thought that was stunning,” said mentor Simon.
