Paul McCartney rocks the Brits! (VIDEO)

Sir Paul McCartney stole the show at the Brit Awards 2008 with a medley of hits, as he collected the award for Oustanding Contribution to Music. The former Beatle, who has been locked in a bitter divorce battle with estranged wife Heather Mills, closed this year's event with a 15-minute set, which earned him a standing ovation from the 8,000-strong crowd. Sir Paul kicked off his medley with a rousing performance of Live And Let Die. He completed the set with The Beatles classics Hey Jude, Lady Madonna and Get Back completing the set, along with Dance Tonight, from his latest album Memory Almost Full. On collecting his award, Sir Paul gave the briefest of speeches. "I'm hugely privileged to have been in the Quarrymen, The Beatles, Wings and the solo stuff," he said. "I just think British music is the best." Watch a clip of Sir Paul McCartney performing at the Brits 2008
