Sacha Baron Cohen brings back Ali G in da US

Sacha Baron Cohen is reviving his hit comedy character Ali G for US TV.

Ali G: Rezurection will screen on Fox network's FXX comedy channel, The Guardian reported.

The 42-year-old actor and comedian will record his first new material as Ali G in a decade, for a series of introductions that will precede old episodes of Da Ali G Show on the US channel.

Sacha rose to fame as the wannabe gangster from Staines, a character he created for political satire The 11 O'Clock Show in 1998, before getting his own TV series and a feature film.

Six years ago Sacha announced he was officially 'retiring' Ali - real name Alistair Leslie Graham - along with another of his characters Kazakhstani reporter Borat.

He described the farewell as 'upsetting, but the success has been great and better than anything I could have dreamed of'.

However Ali G made a surprise appearance at last year's British comedy awards to accept Sacha's lifetime achievement award.
