Sarah Jessica Parker’s HBO follow-up to Sex And The City is a comedy about marital woes.
The US cable channel said that the actress will star in a series of half-hour episodes called Divorce. She plays a woman who finds that making a break from her marriage is harder than anticipated.

Thomas Haden Church, who has had roles in Spider-Man 3 and Sideways, will play her husband. Also in the cast are Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam, playing close friends of SJP’s character, Frances.
Sarah Jessica, 50, starred as relationship columnist Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City from 1998 to 2004 on HBO, and she reprised the role on the big screen in two movies.
Since the hit TV series ended, she has appeared in films such as Did You Hear About The Morgans? and I Don’t Know How She Does It, as well as a recurring guest role in Glee.

Divorce will shoot in New York this year, HBO said. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
