Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt has split up with boyfriend  Luke Crodden, following a year long romance.

The I’m A Celebrity winner, 26, and hairdresser Luke, 28, were recently pictured looking happy together at the National TV Awards where Scarlett was working as a backstage presenter.

The couple had been living together in North London after moving from Newcastle following Scarlett's success on Ant and Dec's, I'm A Celebrity, in which the popular TV personality was ecstatic  to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

However a  spokeswoman for the star, who recently released a hugely successful fitness DVD,  has confirmed  the pair have called it a day. The Sun quoted a source as saying: “Scarlett is sad about the break-up but she really hopes they can remain friends.”

The split will come as a surprise to many fans as bubbly Scarlett has always been very open about how happy she was in her relationship with Luke. She previously told OK! magazine: “It sounds a bit crazy but we moved in together after a month!

“I haven’t necessarily been lucky in love, but Luke’s the male me and I’m the female him… I’ve never felt this way before.”

She even hinted at long-term commitment with the hairdresser.  Just two months ago she told the Daily Mirror she'd been looking at rings, saying: "I pointed out which one I liked and what my ring size is, just so Luke knows which one to get in the future. If that isn’t a hint, I don’t know what is.' The couple also  recently confided to OK! magazine that they'd discussed names for their future children. 'We’ve had a baby name chat,' she told the publication,  revealing she wanted to call their daughter Aurora.

However as Scarlett's popularity has soared and the job offers have come flooding in, it seems her romance with Luke is over.

The TV personality is set for a busy year. As well a being offered a regular position on Saturday Night Takeaway with  hosts Ant and Dec, she's also been signed up to front the return of Channel 4's reality dating show, Streetmate, and in addition will  join forces with presenter and comedian Alan Carr for a new entertainment series.
