Selina Gomez attacks internet troll who wished cancer upon her!

Selena Gomez has shamed an online troll who apparently sent her a message wishing cancer upon her.

The 21-year-old singer and actress hit back at the bully on Instagram after they reportedly said she should "burn in hell with cancer". The user's comment and their account has now been deleted.

Selena posted a screengrab of her reply to the troll for her followers - almost 11 million - to see.

Selena wrote: "The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman. I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart.

"You won't be winning 'anyone's' heart that way. Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You're beautiful."

The former Disney star also captioned her message to the social media bully, telling her followers: "Honestly, I don't speak up much because it's simply *always* taken out of context. But I don't take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything."

It is not the first time Selena has taken on a bully online.

In December 2013 she stepped in when she saw one of her followers was trolling a fan who was struggling with self-harming. She ticked off the hater and offered support to the victim.
