The BFI Southbank in London is hosting a special season dedicated to the life and career of Terence Stamp, the legendary British actor who has long been a truly distinctive presence on the cinema screen.
The season, which runs throughout May, features a wide range of films starring the Bow-born actor, from his film debut in 1962’s Billy Budd to his most recent work, the celebrated Song for Marion. Plus, there’s a display of scripts, photos and other items in the mezzanine at BFI Southbank exploring the 74-year-old's career and status as actor, write and style icon.
The BFI is also screening an extended run of Stamp’s 1968 collaboration with famed Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini, Theorem, which is set for a restored Blu-ray/DVD release on 27 May (which we will be reviewing in full soon).
