Shot in 1938, Too Much Johnson was Orson Welles’ first feature, the film that helped him hone his craft, and the one that led him to create to his influential masterpiece Citizen Kane. The footage was presumed destroyed in a fire in Welles’ home in 1971, but was rediscovered in Italy, and the restored 66-minute version now makes its UK Blu-ray and DVD debut from Mr Bongo Films.
