Wags Boutique shown the red card
Reality show Wags Boutique has reportedly been axed - because the England football team failed to qualify for Euro 2008. The ITV2 show, where two teams of five footballers' wives and girlfriends set up rival fashion shops, raised more than £450,000 for charity last year - but now it seems ITV has decided to not do a second series. A source at programme makers Off The Radar told The Sun: "We were told it would be commissioned again by ITV. But because the England football team failed to qualify for the Euro 2008 finals next summer, it is now off the schedule. "The show worked so well on the back of the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where England made the quarter-finals. But now, with the team in disgrace and their Wags out of fashion, it seems there is no place for it." Profits from the two temporary London shops - Bows and Better Half - went to London's Great Ormond Street Hospital.
