TV Times top picks for tonight

What’s on telly tonight? Here the TV Times team of expert reviewers highlight the best shows on Saturday 23rd June

All Round to Mrs Brown’s, 9.10pm, BBC1

Mammy opens her doors to brave celebrities for the last time in this final visit to chez Agnes. Guests tonight are former US talk show host Jerry Springer, who is used to meeting dysfunctional families, so nothing fazes him when he witnesses the Browns’ behaviour. There’s also Ray Mears, who manages to survive when he helps Buster and Dermot with their new business venture, and the normally unshockable Boy George, who squirms on the sofa when his mammy, Dinah, shares embarrassing secrets and childhood photos of her famous son. Musical entertainment is provided by pop group Years & Years, who reduce Agnes to tears and provide a birthday treat for Buster. Rating: ****

Hidden, 9pm, BBC4

We all know who attacked Lowri, but with a nasty ex who’s been threatening the nurse, Cadi and Owen are interested in talking to him. In between being truly vile and trying to attack Cadi, ex-boyfriend Marc does give one clue – he saw a red pick-up when he was harassing Lowri, with a strange-looking man inside. There are still a lot of unanswered questions in this brooding drama, but Sian Reese-Williams as DI Cadi is keeping us guessing. Rating: ****

Blind Date, 7.30pm, Channel 5

Paul O’Grady asks six more singletons, ‘What’s your name and where do you come from?’, as the classic dating show continues. In a Blind Date first, a mother and son are both hoping to find love. First to ask the questions is son Emile, who has his pick of three glamorous ladies, before his mum Belinda gets to choose her own hot date. Watch out for number one, an HGV driver with some smart answers and moves! We also catch up with last week’s couples – Barry and Cherry and Cali and Alexi – who went to Cuba and South Africa on their dates. And in maybe another Blind Date first, Paul is taken aback when there’s a twist to their love stories… Rating: ****
