Fans of the medical drama will have to wait until next week...

Casualty fans won't be too happy to hear that tonight's episode is being postponed, due to a football match being aired instead - leaving the BBC show left out of the schedule entirely.

The medical drama has been pushed back due to a FA cup game taking place between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United at 7.55pm and it's expected it won't finish until after 10pm.

It's not the first time this week a BBC drama has lost out to a scheduling battle. Holby City was cancelled on Tuesday due to last-minute Brexit voting news.

There will now be a double bill of Holby City on Tuesday 19 March and Wednesday 20 March. Unfortunately Casualty fans will have to wait until next week for their next instalment...

Casualty will return to screens on Saturday 23rd March, with a brand new character joining the cast.
