Amy Winehouse almost choked on her food as she watched Rachel Adedeji booted off The X Factor last week. The Rehab singer's father Mitch revealed he and his daughter were enjoying a curry as they watched the Saturday night talent show, but were furious to see the talented soul singer leave. Mitch said: "Amy and I and the family were watching X Factor and when Rachel got knocked out we thought it was a complete disaster. "We were having a lovely dinner - I was having a chicken vindaloo and Amy was having a chicken korma and we almost choked - almost put us right off our food. Almost, but not quite." The taxi driver - who has launched his own series, Showbiz Rant, in which he chats to celebs in his taxi for online TV channel LIV - insists Stacey Soloman is not as talented as his daughter. He said: "Stacey is not the new Amy. She's not as good. "As for Jedward, if they win it, Simon Cowell and I will leave the country together to set up shop somewhere." Meanwhile, Mitch, 58, has revealed to The Sun he plans to release an album of his own. He said: "It's a Sinatra-ish album. There will be six covers of Sinatra."
