Former Big Brother housemate Chanelle Hayes was rushed to hospital on Thursday after taking an overdose of painkillers and alcohol, it has been reported. The Big Brother 8 star apparently had a huge bust-up with her footballer boyfriend Matt Bates prior to the incident, according to The Sun. Chanelle was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, West Yorks, where she was expected to stay overnight. Middlesbrough player Matt, who Chanelle has been dating since early this year, was believed to be by her side. A source told the paper: "Chanelle had been having boyfriend troubles with Matt. They had been arguing a lot. "She took the paracetamol and red wine out of frustration at how badly things were going. She was in a terrible way." Her agent Dave Read said: "I am looking in to this matter. I am unable to comment further at this stage." Chanelle became famous on Big Brother 8 for her on-off relationship with fellow Big Brother housemate Ziggy Lichman.
