Michelle Collins makes her much-anticipated debut as wealthy Samantha in Saturday’s Casualty.
Sporting a new red hairdo reminiscent of Ginger Spice, Michelle is introduced to the long-running medical drama this Saturday as event organiser Samantha. The businesswoman hires paramedic Jeff (Matt Burdock) as her on-site medic and the pair soon embark on a whirlwind romance.
Michelle, who has been brought into Casualty in a recurring guest role, will be shaking things up as Jeff’s new love interest with a dark secret.
Probably best know for her EastEnders’ role as Cindy Williams, later Cindy Beale, Michelle started in showbiz as a backing singer for Mari Wilson. Cindy left hubby Ian Beale to run off with Simon Wicks in 1990, but returned in 1992, only to hire a hitman to kill Ian.
After leaving EastEnders in 1998, Michelle starred in several successful dramas including Sunburn and Two Thousand Acres of Sky before joining Coronation Street in 2011 as Rovers landlady Stella Price. She left the cobbles earlier this year.
