TV Times' 7 reasons Jordan should return to Casualty

It's Casualty's 30th birthday this year and TV Times is expecting some big storylines and a few surprises to be part of the celebrations.

The campaign (#bringbackJordan) starts here for one of those special treats to be the return of Michael French as Clinical Lead extraordinaire Nick Jordan.

And here's why:

1 WE MISS MICHAEL FRENCH

During David Wicks' brief return we could watch EastEnders, squint and remember the glory days of Jordan. Now Michael French is nowhere to be seen... and it's an outrage!

2  ZOE'S SINGLE

Well technically she's still married, but we can't see Max welcoming her home any time soon. Zoe and Jordan had a chemistry very few TV couples can match and if this show were real (isn't it?) she would be crying on his shoulder right now

3 THE POTENTIAL FOR A BROMANCE WITH DYLAN IS HUGE

With his hilarious one-liners and disdain for the irritating patients, Dylan is one of the best things about Casualty right now. His friendship with Lofty is sweet and fun, but it's a mismatch. Jordan and Dylan reading the Lancet at the pub is a scene we need to see.

4 MICHAEL FRENCH WAS RECENTLY SPOTTED IN CARDIFF

And it's wrong to tease…

5 ETHAN NEEDS A MENTOR

Ethan is a brilliant character and an amazing doctor, but since Lily's promotion he seems to have given up. Step forward Holby's finest surgeon – we'd love to see Jordan take him under his wing. And a jealous Cal would be entertaining too.

6 JACOB NEEDS A BOSS

And now that Connie's gone all doe-eyed there's nobody to put Jacob in his place. Jordan would get rid of his bizarre nurse's uniform for a start, and we reckon Jacob's cocky lectures on how to do the job would come to an abrupt end too.

7 JORDAN IS SIMPLY AWESOME

Casualty characters range from the sublime to the ridiculous and we need to keep hold of the heroes. Jordan was charismatic, funny and brilliant – and the ED could certainly use his charms right now.
