Katie Price enters Celebrity Big Brother after pretending she was overseas

Katie Price has warned her new Celebrity Big Brother housemates she will not hold back if anyone insults her disabled son Harvey.

The star, who clashed with comic Frankie Boyle after he made an joke about her son who suffers from autism and life-threatening hormone deficiencies, joined the house tonight.

Her arrival has been widely expected although she tried to cover up the plan by pretending she was jetting off on holiday, posting tweets showing herself on a plane with their husband Kieran Hayler.

The 36-year-old mother of five, who married again in 2013, said she was joining the Channel 5 show because 'there is always a price for the Pricey and the price was right'.

The former glamour girl is a familiar face on reality television, having twice appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and starred in a number of her own series about her life.

Katie, who was criticised by fellow contestant Katie Hopkins after naming her daughter Bunny, said: “That doesn’t bother me, what she says about the name of my child, it’s like, ‘whatever’.

“But if they start picking on Harvey, like Frankie Boyle did, then that is a different kettle of fish. I don’t care what people say about me, but when it comes to kids who can’t defend themselves then I think it is cruel and wrong.”

The star, formerly known as Jordan, also revealed there would be doctors on hand around the clock in case of complications following a recent breast reduction operation.

She said: “I had my boobs reduced. There is a doctor on standby the whole time to keep checking me, but other than that my banter is still there. I’ve been glued to the show, it’s a great series.”

This year’s series has already caused controversy and two contestants – former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson and ex-Coronation Street actor Ken Morley – were removed from the show.

Ken repeatedly clashed with his housemates and was evicted for using 'unacceptable language' including repeated use of the word 'negro'.

Jeremy was kicked off the show after former Page 3 girl Chloe Goodman, 21, claimed he drunkenly tried to look at her breasts while the pair were alone in the toilet.

He was given a police caution for common assault after the incident which was not shown on screen.

Hundreds of viewers have complained to watchdog Ofcom about the pair’s behaviour, with the vast majority upset by Ken.
