Coleen Nolan has missed out on a place in the Dancing On Ice final after losing out to Donal McIntyre in the semi-final skate-off. The Loose Women presenter had battled a string of injuries, including a dislocated disc and a broken bone in her hand, to bid for a place in the final - but she fell at the final hurdle after the judges unanimously chose to save Donal. Despite their negative comments about her skating earlier, however, they all appeared sorry to see her go. "It's not going to be the same without you," Karen Barber told her, "we're all going to miss you." Nicky Slater said she had had him "smiling all the way through," while Ruthie Henshall described her as "funny, courageous and inspiring". Jason Gardiner, however, was less kind. "The British public got it right tonight," he told her, "and so did we." Coleen, however, was so certain of the result that she even predicted it before it happened. "I'm so out of the competition," she said after the skate-off. "We shouldn't even waste time, bring on the flowers." Nonetheless, she was enthusiastic about her time on the ice. "It is honestly the best thing I've ever done," she added. Donal McIntyre will now compete for the Dancing On Ice 2009 crown next Sunday with Jessica Taylor and Ray Quinn. The show will see all the contestants take to the air during their routines, as well as Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean performing their classic Bolero routine from 1984.
