Bruce Forsyth has filmed a part in the Downton Abbey special for ITV’s Text Santa, which will air in December.
What Bruce’s role will be has not been revealed, but the Sun reports that the 87-year-old entertainer “had lots of fun” during production.
Could he be playing Santa to the Downton gang?
“Bruce filmed his part over the summer in total secrecy,” a source close to Bruce told the paper. “Everyone has been determined to keep the exact details covered so that there will be a big surprise for views on the night.
George Clooney with the Downton Abbey cast
“Bruce is a fan of the show and couldn’t turn down such a big opportunity, especially as he follows on from George Clooney [who appeared as George Oceans Gravity, Marquis of Hollywood in last year’s sketch - watch it again, below].
“But he also did it because it’s a great cause and will benefit charity. He had lots of fun.”
