Masood is making a comeback to Eastenders!

After only a year out, he will be making a return later this year... with some newbies too!

Nitin Ganatra, who plays Masood, is planning to make his come back to the Eastenders cast later this year, after having only one year out to explore other shows and roles! The loved character has been 'over-whelmed' after fans found out about the news of his return to Albert Square. The actor quit Eastenders in November of 2016. Viewers watched Masood leave on his last episode with his son, Kamil, to begin a new life in Pakistan and be reunited with his ex-wife, Zainab.

Does this mean Zainab could make a return too?

He admitted 'It was a lovely surprise to be asked back to EastEnders so soon after I left. In fact I was bowled over.' But, what will be the story for him coming back to the square? And more importantly, who's he coming back with?

It has been said that the loved postman of Albert Square will return with new cast members playing his extended family as Masood 'tries his best to settle (them) into Albert Square'. However, it is still unknown who this extended family will be. This means we may not see him back on the loved soap until the end of this year. He did admit in his tweet announcing his return that we wouldn't see his character 'for a while yet'.

And although he can't tell us too much, Nitin has said 'It is with great pride that I will grow my Masood goaty once again to help create and base an extended family around him. Exciting days to come Walford with Masood back on the Square.'

Awh, we can't wait to welcome him back on our screens either!
