*One-hour special*

Ronnie is upset when Roxy won't go against Alfie's wishes and agree to see her. Dropping in on Dot as she's about to leave, Ronnie is convinced by Dot to see Roxy somehow. When Ronnie walks into the Vic flat where Roxy is with Tommy, Roxy is shocked, but she's happy to see her sister. A horrified Alfie finds out from Michael, bursting in and grabbing Tommy. Kat calms Alfie down, but when he returns to find Ronnie still there he's livid. Ronnie flees the flat, walking straight into Shirley's leaving party, where Alfie gives Roxy an ultumatum.

Shirley starts to say her goodbyes before leaving for Greece. Not wanting to let her go without a send off, Jean arranges a surprise party in the Vic. Meanwhile, Shirley discovers Carl is using the Arches to put dodgy number plates on cars and tells Jay and Dexter it stops now, angering Carl. When Shirley sees Carl with Ian she's suspicious, asking Ian what they were talking about.

Carl promises to leave Kirsty alone when she insists she's staying loyal to Max. In the prison, Max finds a smuggled phone in his cell. Ringing the number on the phone, Max gets through to Carl, who hints something could happen to Lauren. Carl tells Max that Lauren will stay safe as long as Max takes the rap for the car crash and finishes with Kirsty.
