Wildlife film-maker Gordon Buchanan offers an animal’s eye view of the world in this new three-parter, by attaching cameras to various creatures on land and sea.

Tonight, a tiny camera fixed to a collar placed around a meerkat’s neck takes viewers into the previously unseen world of the troop’s burrow to see a newborn pup.

There’s also some lovely interaction between Gordon and orphaned chimp Kimbang, who takes a camera up into the treetops of Cameroon and is set a test to check her survival skills.

And off the coast of Patagonia, we join penguins on a 200-mile search for anchovies to feed their hungry chicks.
