Dr Javid Abdelmoneim presents as four people, whose weight is affecting their health, volunteer to take part in a radica nine-weekl ‘liquid’ only crash diet

Four people, whose weight is affecting their health, volunteer to take part in a radical nine-week ‘liquid’ only (soup and shakes) crash diet.

Mentored by Dr Javid Abdelmoneim, the four undergo extensive medical screenings before and after the diet to measure the differences in their health.

Each volunteer has good reason to lose the recommended two stone.

Yolande has fatty liver disease, while Tracy carries the same risk of heart attack or stroke as a 75-year-old despite being only 52.

Priest Paul has Type-2 diabetes, and Rebecca is still addicted to takeaways, despite having had a gastric band fitted.

How will they fare?
