Billy tries to see Jay before Terry's court case for murdering Jase, but Dawn is still angry with Billy for upsetting Jay and she slams the door in his face. Billy is approached by a strange woman, who reveals that she is Terry's wife Viv Bates. Viv menacingly tells Billy that if he gives evidence against Terry in court then Jay will suffer the consequences. Zainab takes on a last minute catering job at R&R and is stunned to discover that the host is a successful former acquaintance, Bushra. Zainab is mortified as she thinks that Bushra sees her as failure because their last business failed. Masood reminds Zainab that their current business is thriving and Zainab swallows her pride to talk to her friend. Zainab is intrigued when Bushra asks her if Syed is still single... Dot offers to let Syd move in when Syd has had a flood in her flat. Nick wants Dot to take Dotty out for the day to give Dotty another opportunity to convince Dot that she's losing her mind. He's annoyed when Dot makes excuses, saying she's too busy helping Syd. Also, Jane and Ian win a holiday to Scotland in a charity raffle; Phil promises Ben his drinking is under control.
