Syed can't afford the rent on the flat on his own and moves back in with his parents. Despite the best efforts from their families, Syed and Christian stubbornly refuse to talk things through. Zainab and Lucy trick the couple into meeting at the restaurant, locking them in. Despite an honest talk about their marriage, Syed thinks he's lost Christian when he leaves for the airport. But Christian returns for Syed and they leave the Square hand in hand. Lola is approached by Alexa and the gang and almost lashes out after a jibe from Alexa. When Billy later finds Alexa alone in the playground he tries to appeal to her as a care home child and says that Lexi deserves to be with her family. Although affected by Billy's words, when Lola turns up she points out that Billy is witness tampering. Lola is petrified that Billy has jeopardised their case. Cora has one too many in the Vic, prompting Max to call Tanya to take her home. When Tanya asks Cora what's up, Cora just slurs that she loves her. Worried about betraying Cora, Patrick is hesitant when Tanya asks him why her mum is so depressed. Tanya is stunned when Patrick reveals that her sister Ava is alive!

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
