Linda holds a tribute night for a late friend of the family, Denise is fuming when she has a rival for her bid to get Patrick to invest.
Linda realises that Shirley’s in a miserable mood, hatching a plan to cheer her up. She apologises to Shirley for forgetting that it’s the anniversary of Shirley losing her best mate Heather Trott. In a tribute to Heather, Linda arranges karaoke at The Vic to belt out some of Heather’s favourite ‘80s songs.
Meanwhile, Phil is aware that it’s Heather’s anniversary and he tries to make conversation with Shirley. He’s the last person Shirley wants to talk to, reminding him that it was his son who ended Heather’s life. Phil backs off when Shirley tells him to leave her alone. Touched by Linda’s karaoke celebration, she agrees to join in the fun at The Vic.
Denise thinks she’s got a good case for her business idea for a salon. She tries to convince Patrick that if he invested his money with her he’d get a good return. Mitch, however, finds out about Denise’s business pitch to Patrick and decides to pitch an idea of his own – a barbershop! Will Patrick be convinced by either of them or will he keep his money for himself?
