Damon's working-class hero is dying of radiation poisoning after an accident at work and is on a mission to reach Elysium to find a cure and save a little girl. But this involves a risky plan to kidnap a heartless tycoon (William Fichtner) and pits him against Jodie Foster's scheming politician and Sharlto Copley's brutal mercenary.
