Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are in space to do DNA research when they're caught up in a radioactive storm that changes their chemical make-up.
Soon they've mutated into superheroes – Gruffudd's become stretchy Mr Fantastic, Alba's The Invisible Woman, Evans gets hot and bothered as The Human Torch and Chiklis has an uncomfortable transformation into rock-like The Thing.
This nicely packaged, no-brainer fantasy is slow in getting to its slam-bang action. But then it delivers a whirl of fantastic special effects as the foursome show just what they're made of against Julian McMahon's steely villain Dr Doom.
