Mo Farah returns to Newcastle for the Great North Run, the second largest half-marathon in the world, looking to become the first man to win this race for a fourth consecutive year.

Also running is mighty Kenyan Vivian Cheruiyot, returning to defend her title. The Great North Run is now in its 37th year, with 57,000 people running last year – will this race be even bigger?

This weekend also features live coverage of the Great North CityGames (Saturday 1.15pm, BBC1).
