Imagine Groundhog Day remade as a slasher thriller and you have a rough idea of what’s in store for sorority mean girl Rothe. She finds herself reliving her birthday over and over again, a day that always ends with her meeting her demise at the hands of a killer in a creepy baby mask.

Like Bill Murray's cynical TV weatherman, Rothe's birthday girl is not that likeable at first, and much of the movie's fun is seeing her become a better person as she goes through her ordeals of being stabbed, brained, drowned and blown up.
