In the final episode of this emotional and powerful drama, the attention focuses on Rhys’s parents Mel and Steve.
It begins at the trial where they have to sit and listen to horrendous details about how Rhys died, while the accused young men mess around at the back of the court, laughing and joking like it's a school trip.
But it's actually after the trial that life gets even harder for the grieving parents. 'Everybody thought we would get closure, but it was entirely the opposite,' says Mel to DS Dave Kelly (the police officer who led the case) about the guilty verdicts.
Suddenly life is quiet, empty, filled only by their grief for their little boy blue.
