Former policeman Russell Millen takes up his post as Waterloo Road's new trainee teacher. Russell is smart, keen and seems up to job - but Andrew has doubts about him and doesn't like the rapport he has with his old friend, Kim. When cracks start to appear in Russell's character, Andrew's reservations seem justified, but Kim reckons he's just jealous. Could Kim and Andrew's fledgling romance be in jeopardy? Elsewhere, Lorna is slowly coming to terms with having MS and Tom is proving to be a real comfort to her. But they're getting far too cosy for Izzie's liking and it's only a matter of time before things come to a head. Jack's decided he's had enough of their problems and delivers an ultimatum - either sort things out or one of you must leave! Meanwhile, Jack wants Davina to move in with him, but Davina quiet likes her independence - not least because there's still a lot of unfinished business between her and Brett. Also, Maxine is proving to be a difficult housemate - leaving Steph with a tough decision to make.
