Here are two teams who could well do with wins – the Hammers are flirting with relegation, while the red part of Merseyside cannot make an impression on the top four.

If West Ham can keep striker Andy Carroll fit, they have someone who can cause havoc in an opponent’s box, and with Liverpool’s fractured defence, he could be a menace today (kick-off 5.30pm).
