He finds it difficult to fit in and matters aren't helped when he's tormented by a bully.

Luckily, martial arts master and janitor Jackie Chan's on hand to teach the boy kung fu in time for a big tournament.

Also, there's a cute Chinese violin prodigy (Wenwen Han) to romance and the bully's ass to kick.

Smith is effective, too, but it's Chan who makes the film, bringing dignity and weight to his role.
