Catch up with series one of the haunting New Zealand-set drama Top of the Lake on Netflix before series 2 starts (Nicole Kidman stars) on BBC2

In 2013 this haunting New Zealand-set drama from director Jane Campion wowed critics and won a slew of awards, including a Golden Globe for Elisabeth Moss (currently in The Handmaid's Tale).

Series two, starring Nicole Kidman, is coming to BBC2 soon but before that, here's a chance to catch up with series one on Netflix.

Detective Robin Griffin is called in when Tui, a 12-year-old girl, is found to be pregnant.

Robin is determined to find out who raped Tui, but she gets little help from her colleagues or Tui's dad (Peter Mullan).

Tui then seeks refuge with a group of troubled women, led by the enigmatic GJ (Holly Hunter).
