Whitney avoids Todd and Ricky is puzzled when Todd asks him to tell Whitney that it was a misunderstanding. Ricky gets the truth out of Whitney and furiously confronts Todd about the condom. Lucy overhears and later teases Whitney, who runs off and broods on Arthur's bench. Whitney is curious when she sees a young bloke staring at her... Heather panics when she realises that Phil was locked in at the Arches all night and Garry and Minty let him out. Phil heads back to the Vic in a foul mood and grabs a bottle of vodka then tries it on with a stunned Tracey and tells her he couldn't do any worse than Shirley! A hurt Shirley overhears and storms out. Later, Heather is frightened when Phil verbally abuses her and she has an asthma attack... Masood is stunned when he knocks at Janine's to deliver a package and a half-dressed Syed opens the door with Janine behind him in a negligee. Zainab is horrified when Masood tells her the news and she confronts her son. Syed insists that he slept on the sofa and he stayed in Walford because he wanted to see her. Zainab is touched and encourages him to talk to Masood.

He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix.
An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
