The Blues beat last season’s cup holders, Manchester City Women, in the semi-finals, but must now face 14-time winners Arsenal who, captained by the excellent Alex Scott, will be giving it their all after a rather tepid season thus far.

For a team who dominated women’s football for many years, this could be the Gunners’ chance to recall their heady, glory days. Will they grasp it?
